Miracle Christian Worship Center began by a heart cry to God. A cry that went out to God for the City of Dixon, where God placed Pastor Joe Mejia to work the city. In the early years of Pastoring formally known as Church of Praise the city of Dixon was experiencing an increase in drugs and gangs. Pastor Joe Mejia turned to God at this time and came against the spiritual stronghold that was on the city. He grasped God's vision to go out into Dixon. The Lord lead Pastor Joe to houses where he would begin to share the love of Jesus Christ with people. The Spirit of the Lord would take over and begin to give the pastor the words that each person needed to hear. People began to give there lives to Jesus right there in their houses, on the streets, parks, local stores. God began to move in city like never before. Pastor Joe and church members began to develop a compassion for the lost.
MCWC desired to meet the needs of the city. They worked jointly with the major Dixon P.D. to combat the drugs and alcohol abuse through various community outreaches. These outreaches averaged 700 or more in attendence shortly after God placed a dream in the heart of Pastor Joe to build a multi-purpose building that would hosts events for young people. Pastor Joe's heart continues to beat for the city of Dixon. He along with MCWC are committed to reaching this city for Jesus.
